| | 打算這個聖誕去埃及玩，可是剛剛給他們在海牙的使館打過電話，他們說簽証需要2個月!時間太長了。不知各位有沒有相關的經驗？可不可能比較簡單的解決？ 太謝謝了!

| | Hi, we went to Egypt embassy this morning and got confirmed answer from them. They changed the rules 6 months ago for Chinese to visit Egypt as tourist. Now, our visa application will be sent to Egypt, be processed there and then sent back. The total time is about 2 months! Before that, we could get the visa same day!
Please be aware of this long delay if any of you plans some holiday there.
They said the reason to change the rules is because Chinese embassy also has strict rules on Egyptian people who wants to go to China. So they just use this way to fight back!@#$%

It's really nice to see so many people are interested in Egypt.Maybe it's time for me now to say some more on it. I went to Egypt with my girlfriend last December and stayed two weeks in this interesting country.
We went there by ourselves, a DIY tour, very flexible. So, we almost went to every interesting site in Egypt and our route is: Cairo -> Aswan -> Luxor -> Hongada -> Alexrandra -> Cairo -> western desert -> Cairo.
Besides of the famous sites in Cairo, Luxor and Aswan, we had some great pleasure in Hongada and the western desert:
In Hongada, I did my first-ever scuba diving and it's a wonderful feeling to swim with all kinds of beautiful fishes in the water.
We did one night camping in the white desert, part of Sahara. Never seen a moon so beautiful before!
We met so many kind and interesting people, both tourists and locals in the trip, which is really much more fun compare to an organized tour.
Finally, sth about the cost. We bought the ticket from Swissair, cost about 400 euro per person. The price level in Egypt is very low (things are cheaper than China!!!), we only spent 300 euro per person for a 14 days trip, including everything! For example, a very nice meal in Cairo in one of the best restaurant costs around 12 euro for two people. One day diving tour in Hongada costs about 35 euro per person (including equipment, lunch, drink, etc.).
Sth about Egyptian: Most of the locals are nice and friendly, you can use English easily there. Some of them are a bit greedy and always tries to get more tips from you. But once you know how to deal with it, it becomes joys too ;-)
So, if someone is interested in Egypt, I suggest you do go! I heard there's cheaper flight from Brussels to Hongada, maybe a good option.

It takes about 4 - 8 weeks to get the Egypt visa. Except for the long wating time, the required material is not much. I forgot the exact cost, but also quite cheap compare to other countries. You can call the embassy for detail requirement.

At the last, maybe a warning! There is also a possibility to get (actually to buy ;-) the visa in Cairo airport. But 99% sure, it's not for Chinese. Therefore, if you want to go, make sure to get visa here.

你打算過完中國年去埃及?太好了，等你回來可以借鑒一下經驗。
據我所知，簽証大概30歐吧
但如果你是在過內的話就不 知道了.

| | 30歐?那不是差不多300人民幣左右,還不怎麼貴.不知道在杭州能不能辦啊,還是一定要去上海?上次,我向埃及駐北京大使館咨詢了一下,一個男的接電話,態度差的要死,真恨不得把電話摔過去,還好後來來了個埃及人,想不到在大使館也有這樣的人,有損我們國家的形象啊~~~~~~~大家有誰去過埃及的給我提點信息啊,拜托拜托~~~~~呵呵~~~`
